Boxed Images of New Animated Clone Wars 3-packs!

Yodasnews.com reader and forum regular rabbit4x found images of the upcoming animated Clone Wars 3-packs, in this eBay auction.  The first set contains Commander Cody, based on a retooled clone, a rehashed Obi-Wan, and what appears to be a retooled General Grievous.   The second set contains a retooled Anakin and clone trooper, and Saesee Tiin (which appears to share the same body sculpt as Obi-Wan)

Below are just a few of the reports we got in Sunday night about Target this week!  Thanks to all who wrote in:

From Terrfett: I managed to find the final twelve at my Lynnwood, Wa. Target, also found the Lava Obi-Wan, and Lava Vader(Anakin), and the Clone 5 pack at the Lake Steven's Wa. Target. No ship or Clone trooper. Also found a pretty cool Star Wars Popcorn tin at my Everett, Wa. Toys R Us. The Everett Wa. Target had the Lego Space Battle pack, and Toys R Us has their exclusive Lego set in that has the Arc Fighter, Tri-Droid Fighter, a mystery mini either Anakin's Fighter or Arc Fighter, a poster and a Cd disc.

From Raal930: Just thought that I would let you know that I went to Target as soon as they opened and the only thing I found there was the Lava Reflection figures and there was not many of them there at all. As for the others, I could not find any of them !

From GummiWorm: I hit 4 local Targets and not a darn one has anything new, the only good thing was that everthing was 10% off so I picked up a few more clones for my armies!

If the reader that sent us the below e-mail was right, then today is the day to hit the local Targets! So far we have mixed reports. Some found everything but the Shadow Trooper and some found zilch! Be sure to let us know what you find today

I have seen the reports the last few weeks on your site of the upcoming figures and ships and from what we were told, we are not allowed to pull them out for anyone, even if they ask by the DCPI  so if people are getting them that way, they are lucky because we were told not to.  The agenda is that the overnight crew is to put them out on the night of the 15th for sale on Oct 16th. We have 4 boxes of each in the back as of now but cant put them out. I dont know if this is a nationwide date or not because the boxes are not marked with a date, but that is what we were told.  Also, we didnt get the Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter so I dont know if he will be out on the 16th or not.

Emperor Palpatine Mini Bust!

Gentle Giant's website has pictures of the upcoming Emperor Palpatine mini bust.  The sculpt is based on the Revenge of the Sith appearance of the dark lord of the Sith.  This item is expected in April of 2006 and the production numbers have not been released.  Click here for more details.

Wal-Mart Early Bird Kit News!

Hasbro.com announced today that they will accept the mail order forms until March 31st 2006 which is good news for those that have yet to find the mail in package or that are now seeing it for under retail!

In addition to that news, we got over 30 emails today of the set being in mailboxes Tuesday! It arrived in our admins mailbox as well so if you have yet to see the final product, check out some snapshots below and look for the second wave of shipments to be arriving this week!

MR Luke FX Borders Exclusive!

This weekend Star Wars collectors had a new addition to the weekend toy hunt and that stop was Borders Bookstore. If you were lucky enough to get one, you will notice a few things. One is that it is a LOT brighter than previous models and it is also a lot lighter. Another funny thing I noticed is that there a typo on the side of the box which reads Returen instead of Return! Looks like MR must have hired the same spellchecker that Hasbro had working on the Clone Wars Evolutions set! Check out the picture of the error below and a few  shots of the Luke FX next to other models!

In the third Star Wars Galaxies expansion, Trials of Obi-Wan, journey with your friends to the dark and dangerous land of Mustafar, scene of the final battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith, where you can uncover and control the lost powers and relics of the Old Republic. For fans who pre-order before October 25, 2005, early access to the game expansion will be granted one week prior to commercial launch. In addition, each pre-order will receive an in-game exclusive Transport Skiff, the first-ever eight-person vehicle available in Star Wars Galaxies.
