Hasbro's website clears up some details about the upcoming holographic,
miniature figures that will be packed in with the new Saga line. There will
be 12 figures and they will be randomly packed! This might prove to be a
carded variation completist's worst nightmare. More details

For those of you that can't wait for the second volume of the animated Clone
Wars series to come out on DVD, you are in luck. Cartoon Network is running
a Clone Wars Volume 2 on Saturday, November 26. Check your local listings.
If you have ever watched VH1's series of I Love The 80s then you might be
interested to know that they are working on a I Love Toys show.

The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society, in association with Toy Cave, is holding its annual Star Wars toy drive to benefit Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion. Garrison Carida encompasses much of the mid-Atlantic region, including Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia. They are a truly service-oriented chapter of the 501st, dedicating the majority of their efforts to helping children. They visit children's hospitals throughout the year where they pose for photos with the patients and hand out Star Wars toys. The toys collected through this drive will be given to the children during these visits.

Our Bothan Spy wrote in to let us know that the street date for the the large scale unleashed figures return will be November 2006 with the first wave being the Chewbacca, Han Solo and Clonetrooper that we have already seen. We heard from Hasbro in September that it would be the Fall of 2006 so it looks like next November will be the month!

Attack on Endor Set This is a theme box with a huge AT-ST, a few Stormtrooper figs and some special Endor missions. It's coming in January 2006.
Champions of the Force Set This is a full 60-figure expansion set that's coming on May 30, 2006 in boosters like the Clone Strike expansion. We don't have all the info, but it's going to be packed with Jedi! Here are some figs that will be in it. Bastila Shan - from the KOTOR video games. Corran Horn - from the Star Wars novels. Darth Maul - another fig of the deadly Sith warrior. Exar Kun - from the ancient Sith Empire. Yoda - this will be a new "Dagobah" Yoda. Bounty Hunters This is another 60-figure expansion set that's coming in June 2006.
It has more of the huge figs, like the Universe Huge expansion, so it will be in big boosters with one Huge and six regular-size figs per box. We don't know much yet, except that it's all about mercenaries and other fringe scum. Star Wars Starship Game? The biggest news is that Wizards has confirmed that they're developing a new Star Wars game that's all about the spaceships. I was at my local Toys R Us in Montgomery, Alabama yesterday and they put out a whole bunch of Republic gunships. Also a bunch of the exclusive Obi Wan Jedi Starfighter w/figure. My local Target put out a bunch of Plo Koon Starfighters. So check your TRU's and Target stores. Also at Target I spoke to customer service and they were able to go in the back and bring out an entire case of the Utupau Shadow trooper. I thanked them for the great customer service and bought 2 for my collection.

Our Spy Network reports that after the great success of Darth Tater and The Spud Trooper, a Third Mr. Potato Head is in the works and it will be a R2-D2 themed version. Sounds like a very cool addition to the growing family of Spuds!
You also may have heard rumors that the old VOTC line is making a comeback and some reports of a mail away figure. In a way, VOTC is coming back but, it wont be called VOTC, it will be called The Ultimate Bounty Hunt Collection. The line will kick off in 2006 and as of right now, it will include 5 figures.
This new line will also have a mail away offer for a George Lucas Stormtrooper figure when you send in 5 coupons that you will have to cut from the back of the cards from The Ultimate Bounty Hunt Collection line (So it looks like MOC collectors will be picking up 2 sets of these). Of course, this is still subject to change but it is latest we have heard. Check back for more info, we will let you know as soon as we get it! It sounds like Hasbro is going to make it another great year for collectors in 2006!

There is a New Episode 3 cereal box out. It has a slightly different view of Vader than the earlier version and also says "own it on DVD". A new game is also added on the on the back (Are You Jedi or Sith?)!

Hasbro's site gives us the first look at the figures that make up the Battle of Geonosis wave for the new Saga line. The wave consists of : Sora Bulq, Sun Fac, C-3PO with Battle Droid Head, Poggle the Lesser, Jango Fett, Scorch, and Yoda. Click here to get more details on this wave.

Regular Yodasnews Raal930 reader reports in: I made a visit to Target the other day and found lots of goodies !!! I have enclosed pictures of the items I found. The items are as follows..There is a Darth Vader tin that has carry handle on it , the other are mugs that all have M&M's in the tops, they include Chewbacca,Darth Vader, and R2-D2. and also found there a Popcorn tin. The prices are 4.99 for the darth tin, and the mugs were 6.99 and the popcorn tin was 6.99. Then at Toys R Us I found the Mpire ornament mini's and they were 5.99. Toys R Us also had the popcorn tin. At Target there was also a C3PO candy jar like the one that is out of Darth Vader. I hope this helps.....Ps..I just picked up the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber from Border's for 99.99. They are very cool and very different from the one out before. The tubes are much thinner and the sound is much louder!

Yodasnews.com reader John lets us know about his finds in Florida. Not sure if this is new news, but the new wave of Galactic Heroes has hit Florida. Found all four 2 packs at a Walmart in Gainesville. Also thought I'd point out that they had a newer version of the Early Bird Special Pack. It had new stickers stating that the promotion had been extended. These were definitely new stock.

Hasbro's site makes the pictures and news reported earlier about the upcoming Saga Battle of Hoth wave official. The wave consists of General Veers, Major Bren Derlin, AT-AT Driver, R2-D2, Snowtrooper, General Rieekan, Power Droid and Vader.
Don't forget, today is the last day to cast your vote in Sideshow's online poll that will determine which will be the first Expanded Universe figure for their new 12" line of figures. You can choose from: Asajj Ventress, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Kir Kanos, Mara Jade, Padem in artic suit, or Quinlan Vos. The winner will be announced November 14th. Vote here.
Hasbro's website brings us details of the upcoming series three of the Titanium Series, which consists ofa speeder bike, republic attack cruiser, clone turbo tank, and a limited white TIE fighter. They also give us details of the Ultra Titanium series ARC-170 and droid tri-fighter. If that were not enough then we also get details on the die-cast 3.75" Darth Vader and Boba Fett. Details here!

Our Bothan spies let us know that according to Target their official release date for their exclusive Utapau Trooper is November 20th. This doesn't mean that some stores might be releasing them a little early, but you might want to stop by your local Target on the above mentioned date.

If you missed it or were just curious as to what it looked like, staff member backerman sent in some close up pictures of the front and back of the target Limited Edition Coin. Take notice that the sabers look more like swords on the back side of the coin, but a very cool freebie none the less!

Today is the day that many Star Wars fans have been waiting for, the final chapter of the Saga is out on DVD and fans are planning where to get it. The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society, in association with Toy Cave, is holding its annual Star Wars toy drive to benefit Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion. Garrison Carida encompasses much of the mid-Atlantic region, including Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia. They are a truly service-oriented chapter of the 501st, dedicating the majority of their efforts to helping children. They visit children's hospitals throughout the year where they pose for photos with the patients and hand out Star Wars toys. The toys collected through this drive will be given to the children during these visits.

They include The Death Star, The Glow in the Dark Emperor, Darth Vader, R2-D2, C3PO, Grievous, Chewie, Boba Fett. and Yoda! Listed with a run of 250,000 individually numbered for $14.44 a set.
*Update 2 - There are three total sets out like this, the Wal-Mart set is the only one with the Glow in the Dark Emperor, Toys R Us and Circuit City also have sets, but they include the regular Emperor and are priced at $19.99, they also have a different package and are not numbered.
